S. Menduke’s Bio
S. Menduke’s novella,”Beach Bums” is on sale now as print, digital, and audio at
Amazon, Itunes, Nook and other retailers. This book was inspired by her life as a teen
living in the back of a truck with her father on Hollywood Beach in the mid-1980’s.
The book is a work fiction, however many of S’ experiences and interactions with people living
around her at the time helped to breathe life into her dark and quirky characters.
As a child S. lived in Northeast Philadelphia, but in 1979 her mother opted to
make Hallandale, Florida their new homestead. She remained in South Florida well into
adulthood, but in 2002 she decided to give other areas of Florida a try.
When S was young she often wrote stories for herself, but she was in her thirties before making a move towards writing as a career. She has worked as a freelancer for local newspapers and magazines. She currently resides in Central Florida with her teen aged son, a bratty Pitbull, several cats, and an elderly Shepard mix mutt.
S. is available for interviews and it has been noted that she works extremely with
others when it involves promotion of her books.
